In a nutshell, if God is love, and love is inherently uncontrolling, then God can’t choose to contradict his own nature and be unloving or controlling. In this view of God, his will isn’t the end-all, be-all, after all! We have free will and use it to do good, evil, and unintended bad. Oord adds that we can cooperate with, and nature can be conducive to, miracles at times.
