I agree 100% with this statement in general, but I loathe the insinuations about today's students. It's not unreasonable to get a warning before reading material that, say, includes bigotry, violence, or rape, so that a survivor's fight/flight/freeze response doesn't lead to a panic attack. That's what trigger warnings are for, not to keep kids from uncomfortable ideas.
