I had a professor who said, “Belief is desire.” Your article helps illuminate what he meant. Would you agree, too, that belief/desire can be influenced by evidence? For example, I’ve changed some of my religious beliefs because evidence didn’t support them or because I learned new evidence or perspectives that pointed to a different/new conclusion.
