If we asked 10 people off the street about American Christianity, I suspect we’d hear 6+ answers that invoke generalizations based on the loudest voices and largest platforms. Generalizations are limited, of course, but they also tend to reflect real (systemic) issues and rhetoric. We shouldn’t dismiss them.
