I’m hardly an expert, tbh, but I think the Nicean Council based its conclusions on scripture. It just wasn’t fully “settled” among the various subgroups of Christians until then. My claim is simply that Christian tradition includes robust debate about pretty much everything, so there’s no problem with questioning and debating now. Thanks for reading and responding!
