I’m so sorry for your friend’s loss, Dustin. I agree with your analysis 100%. Guns have become an identity marker, a way for some people to feel tough, strong, and manly. What I still don’t understand, though, is why they think they can’t feel that way while still allowing reasonable gun regulations. I guess the gun lobby tapped into their insecurities to leverage power? Powerful read.
