My Most-Read Writing of 2022
I started seriously writing on Medium in the summer of 2020.
Since then, I’ve gained 2856 followers and done so at a rate faster than my expectations.
In 2022 alone, I gained 1615 followers. I want to thank each and every one!
I write to make an impact on people, whatever that might mean for them in their journeys. The more readers, the greater my impact. Your reading and support mean the world to me.
Of course, I wouldn’t have gained nearly as many followers or received nearly as many views/reads without the help of some great publications: The Backyard Church (Dan Foster), An Injustice! (Zuva Seven), and Pub Koinonia.
My Medium journey began in earnest when Dan Foster published one of my essays in The Backyard Church. The response was overwhelming for a writer who had only published in obscure literary and academic journals. I don’t know how many people read my last piece of fiction, but I had never received so many reader comments as I did for that first piece for Dan.
I soon became a regular contributor to The Backyard Church, followed by publishing frequently in Koinonia, The Apeiron Blog, The Bigger Picture, and An Injustice! Reader comments have been largely positive, either thanking me for the ideas or engaging in good-faith dialogue. These comments confirm…
