Nice, thorough article! I think Paul was inspired, but inspired doesn’t mean entering a trance. Paul, like all authors, had influences on his thought and style, and he knew what ideas his readers would find familiar. His similarities to other authors aren’t a problem unless one assumes divine inspiration requires pulling an author or text out of historical context.
